Industry 4.0 Online Masterclass – Summer boot camp
- 27 June 2022 - 1 July 2022
- 2 pm - 6 pm CET

Overview
The concept of Industry 4.0 was officially introduced for the first time at the Hannover Messe in 2011. It refers to a technology trends made of 9 enabling technologies mainly digital, with the scope of enabling smart factories, i.e., manufacturing production systems that are able to produce goods at lower cost, with higher quality, in shorter time and with higher product mix compared to current factories.
Since 2011, several initiatives have been developed by industrial countries worldwide. However, Industry 4.0 can be still considered at its nascent state: in fact, companies are struggling to understand how to take advantage of the number of opportunities that are currently available on the market. Technology is evolving at a very fast pace, but companies are “creatures of habits”, therefore its difficult for them to adapt to new upcoming scenarios.
In a way, it is “a new stage of industrial maturity of product companies, based on the connectivity provided by the Internet of Things, where products and business processes are interconnected and integrated to increase the value to both customers and internal business processes”
Industry 4.0 is a challenge and a real opportunity for industry worldwide. Most countries and organizations are working on a roadmap to implement transition initiatives towards Industry 4.0, which will have a significant impact on job creation in manufacturing and digital fields and thus contribute to the improvement of value creation (GDP growth, good quality employment, exports of new high value-added services).
As part of these initiatives, activities are implemented at three levels: strategic, implementation and awareness.
On the context of the awareness level, Accialini Training & Consulting is looking to help, as one of the private sector actors, by organizing this online MASTERCLASS.
